My passenger side door lock does not work anymore and i got tired of manually locking my doors so i took it into the dealer the other day to get it repaired. The service rep. said my warranty was up. I have 40k miles on the truck, when i asked her about the 7/70k warranty she said that was only for anything that "touched oil. " I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on my warranty.

Should be 3/36 bumper to bumper. Unless you purchased an extended warranty, door locks are probably on you. :( Not that could probably fix them in the first place if they are anything like my local **ealers. Went over 100k Monday, "I am now officially my own warranty station!!"

3/36 basic warranty. 7/70 POWERTRAIN. 7/100 ENGINE and FUEL. 06 is 3/36 and engine and fuel. The 7/70 has been dropped. Powertrain is u/joints/trans/axels/diffs etc. Powertrain has a $100 deduct per occurance. Engine and fuel have I think a $100 deduct after 5 years. READ your WARRANTY info in the glove box.

Go down to your dealer and talk to your service manager. Tell him the door lock problem has been ongoing and at 40k miles they should fix it for you without charge. Be nice and you might get it repaired for free.
