I am having problems with surging and am approching 100K on the odometer. Is the electronic controler of the throttle covered under the warrenty or would i just be waisting my time?

Being that I have never taken my truck to the dealer that is indeed the question. I was just thinking that it might be worth a try.

have you diagnosed the problem to the throttle controller? lots of things can make it surge.

and why would it not be covered if its bolted to the engine then it covered for the 100k. unless you modified it!

I have not diagnosed it other than posting the symptoms on TDR a few weeks ago. The truck will "take off" with little throttle every so often, If I push the clutch in or completly remove my foot from the throttle it will stop. I have just been dealing with it so far but I am getting ready to do some modifications and do not want this to happen once I increase power. The truck has the muffler eliminator and the air baffle removed from the filter to the turbo, besides that its stock. I am assuming that it is in the electronic throttle "box" but I am not 100% sure. If it is a warrenty item I would like for Dodge to make good on it before my fast approaching warrenty runs out. Side note: this truck is a pulling machine! I love the diesel power, sound and torque.....
