Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Warrnty

I have a 98 cummins 12 valve built 11-97

what is the warrnty on the engine I was led to belive it was

7 years or 100,000 miles

dealer says no it is 5 years 100, 000 miles

oil pressure

98 twelve valve today oil pressure fell to zero at Idle

then picked back up to a steady 30 psi at idle at hi way speeds it

will hold a steady 65 psi no problem. It done this a while back

today twice. The guage does not Fluctuate any just drops to zero

Then it will pick back up

Where is the oil pressure sending unit located I

would like to put a Manual Guage.

I supect it is a guage or sending unit that is the problem

the truck runs good.

Sounds like the sender to me, not an uncommon problem. You can get one from either Dodge or Cummins. YOu might also look into getting the socket designed for getting it off, makes thing easier.
