The great pony escape in Houlton.....

Presidents Day

Guys,

Sitting at home nursing a cold and looked for a video of a place we visited several times when we lived in OH. Warther Museum, Dover OH. Descriptions will not equal what is on display in the museum. Ernest Mooney Warther carved the history of steam locomotives with Walnut, Ivory and Ebony. This short video of "Mooney" just scratches the surface.

Visiting the museum you'll see the progression of the steam locomotive including the largest ever made the Union Pacific Big Boy. And two President Lincoln funeral trains, one Ivory one Ebony. Many of the models are animated, wheels and rods working.

Mooney also made his knives and was famous for his Basswood 1 piece 10 cut pliers.

If you're ever around eastern Ohio this is a must see.

Incredible, watching that video made my day. Mr. Warther was an incredible artist and craftsman, if I am ever in Dover this museum will be at the top of my list to visit. Thanks for posting!
