Was it reflashed??

I took my 05 in two weeks ago for a reflash to see if anything can be done about mileage;13. 5 combo and 14. 8 on the highway. I delivered the truck to Carlin Dodge here in Colorado Springs at 6:30 am and picked it up at 6:30 pm. My wife called in to see if it was ready and the service people said there was not record or invoice showing it was even there. When I showed up to pick it up the service amnager was pulling it around and told me that everything was up to date . I didn't have to sign anything and didn't see any kind of a reciept. All I recieved was a mirror hanger with numbers on it. Is there any way of telling if the truck was even touched??

I would ask for the paperwork. you always have to sign to give them permission to work on your vehicle. My dealership has always givin me paper work for anything done on my truck including software updates.

I will have to call the service manager I guess. I know him pretty well and hardly ever sign anything except this time seemed odd. Last reflash He told me details like idle time and other stuff. It was very late when I picked it up so I don't know.

They are required by law to put a sticker somewhere under the hood showing the ECM was recalabrated. Look for the sticker.

I haven't seen one so far. I haven't noticed anything as far as milleage yet either.

Are you sure there is a re-flash for the '05 for mileage? The last one I was familiar with was TSB 18-037-04 which went up to engine ser. no. 57246361 with manufacture date of 8/17/04. Anything after that would come from the factory with the updated ecm. I could not find a later tsb for the 05's and later. Maybe I have an out of date list???

There wasn't a tsb but he was just trying anything to help me out. It has been pinging a bit and the milleage dropped close to 2 mpg. It still pings with or without good diesel additive. I think it may have an injector issue but it isn't bad enough for them to do anything so I don't know what is up. I am just tired of this 13 MP'g stuff.
