I just found out our wonderful Washington state has come up with a new trick. One that will catch a lot of riders off guard and cost them a lot of money and time.

They have come up with a new law that says you must have a new class 7 licence for large bikes. Plus all the other classes need to be redone.

But here is the catch. If you wait untill after MAY 31st to renew your licence, you will be required to retake all the tests (written&riding). Plus pay the extra fees required to take these tests.

But, if you get in and upgrade your licence BEFORE the 31st, they will upgrade your licence for free.

I plan on being there first thing tuesday to get this handled. Please tell anyone you know that rides about this.

Thanks for the info... its really gotten bad. I use my bike like a car and I've not heard of this change.

I called the local Department of Licensing office about this. They told me there are no changes except for the new requirement for 3-wheel bike training and endorsement.
