It looks that it was already glued... . So I guess I have to part with $53 for a new one. It looks like upper ratiator hose removal is needed, then it will come right out. Right?

My 96 3500 started leaking about 1/3 from the bottom. I used a soldering iron along with some cheap plastic knives to patch it. After 2 years it started leaking again.

Mine started leaking late last winter. Repaired it by melting a little HDPE with a propane torch. But it didn't last. Replaced it last month with one from a wrecking yard I picked up for $15.

And I did remove the upper radiator hose to get it out. It may be possible to remove it without removing the hose, but removing the hose is easy.

My '93 had a crack in the washer jug... tried marine RTV, welding plastic, but none worked. Ended up cleaning, puting plastice electric tape and covering w/ duct tape... been working for over a year leak free. Oo.

I picked up one without a float for $4 at the junkyard. I twisted the float in mine and the leak seamed to stop (for now) and if it starts again I will swap them out. I don't need a float...
