I'm a-fixin to be a full timer again for a while. I've got to find a washer/dryer to fit in my unit. Anybody out there got a recommendation on which manufacturer, and where to get it? Anybody know of a single-cabinet unit that works well? All responses appreciated. Henry

We have the Splendide Comb-o-Matic 6000 single unit washer/condensing dryer. The advantage to this unit is that it does not require venting. The disadvantage is that it takes longer to dry, uses more water for drying and the clothes come out slightly damp.

If we had it to do over again and were buying a single unit, I'd look at the vented Splendide instead of the condensing dryer.

When we bought our Cardinal, we had it wired and plumbed for a washer/dryer thinking we'd use it when we full time it. Problem is most of the campgrounds we use don't have 50 amp service which is required. Not sure I'll ever buy one. Try posting on irv2. infopop.net Lots of fulltimers use that forum.

I have the combination in my fiver and the washer part works fine, but the 110 VAC dryer doesn't do a very good job. The unit is vented, but the clothes come out quiet damp.
