My washer fluid bottle seems to be leaking around the sensor, Does anybody know how it comes out and if there is a seal around it that can be replaced. I tried to remove it but I was having a hard time getting it out and I was afraid I was going to break it.

Thanks

Cory

washer bottle

:D Cory. When fixed, wash bottle thoroughly, fill with whiskey, reroute sprayer hose through firewall near operators compartment:D :D :D

I think it comes off like the radiator overflow bottle. You have to lift up and out at the same time. have to almost give it a good knock.

sorry

Sorry I guess I did't explain myself very well, I was wondering how to get the sensor out, I'm trying to avoid taking the whole bottle out because I don't want to have to take the upper radiator hose off, I can reach the sensor from underneath but can't figure out how to get it out.

I just got my water injection kit and in the instructions it said to use "goop" to seal around the area if you tap into your windshield washer bottle because it's not affected by the methanol. If the sensor itself isn't leaking maybe that would work. I dunno how the sensor comes out.

sorry the rubber seal is on the tank. you will see it when you take the sensor off. it is a rap around type seal that is on both sides of the tank

I don’t know what year you are working on but I did find some information on 1994-96 trucks.

The washer reservoir part number is 55154853 ($44. 60) without level sensor, and 5066540AA ($44. 60) with level sensor (note: I can’t tell if the reservoir comes with the pump or sensor, or not).

The washer pump part number is 55154758 ($33. 75).

The washer level sensor part number is 55155039 ($23. 75).

The washer reservoir grommet part number is 4334568 ($2. 70) each.

The washer reservoir cap is part number is (1994-95) 4630249 ($3. 75) and (1996) 55076412 ($3. 50).

The above prices are MSRP, as of 1-5-03. The grommet part number services both the pump or the sensor.

How to get the nut off of the pump, the sensor or the bottle, I can’t tell ya (or I might have to kill someone).
