Washing engine?

My engine, front axle, etc. is all pretty nasty. Is there anything in particular that needs to be protected while washing at the carwash? Hoping to get it cleaned off good enough to determine what is/isn't leaking, without messing anything up. Thanks, John

I did mine with a simple 2gal pump sprayer of plain water and spray bottle with some 50/50 super purple, I did not want to take the chance with the older connectors and the sort.

Took a little bit but it worked.

Same here, used Grease Lightning and then hosed it down with low pressure, repeated till clean.
Important - drive it afterwards till it is bone dry! Don't let it sit wet.

I wash tbe outside of the truck rhen do the engine so the engine has time to cool off
