I've always had carpet in my vehicles and hated trying to keep it clean. The first morning I had my Dodge truck (without carpet). I was responding to a fire call and spilt coffee in the floor. My first thought was how will I get it off the carpet. When I realized I had no carpet to worry about, I was so happy I poured the rest of the cup in the floor. Hosed it out that evening with a big smile. Looked good as new. I've noticed when I wash the cab out that a lot of water gets up under the cab mat and takes a few days to completely run out. Could this cause rust? Does it get completely dry under the mat? Any thoughts on this problem? Thanks, JB

I think there's a fiber mat under the rubber floor covering that from my experience soaks up water and takes forever to dry out. I wouldn't get the inside of the cab too wet.

Doc is right!

I wouldn't do that anymore..... It takes FOREVER to dry out the fiber mat! :( Don't ask me how I know this.....

I wouldn't put a hose in it. I think eventually the water will do damage somwhere. You may try a moist brush with soft bristles or a sponge. I have carpet and keep it swept out with a little broom. My carpet needs a scrubbin.

I bought mine as a Repo and it has the SLT with leather but the previous owner ordered it with the rubber floor mats. I scrubbed the floor down with a scrub brush and soapy water because it was nasty. Then used the low pressure rinse at the car wash to rinse the soap out. With a little bit of Pledge furniture polish after the rubber dried off, The floors look as good or better than the day the truck came off the line.
