Trying to figure out what is wrong this time. Seems everytime I get the boost to 8 psi. I get this loud whistling noise. It gets louder if I keep pushing it and boost builds slowly not real quick like it used to. Also I have been able to hit 28 psi. before and now there is no way I can get it there. I have checked the boots and everything, even the little hose on the elbow on the front of the turbo. I would think if it were a boot it would have blown completely off by now.

Can the wastegate fail on the HX35 or hang up in some way? Maybe it's sticking and needs a little WD40? I can't see much right now with being dark outside. Planning on getting up early to look things over to see if I can find anything. Any help is appreciated

A wastegate can fail. I've experienced it. You will have to check for leaks. If you have TDR issue 59, there is a discussion of it. There is a rubber type diaphragm on the back of the injection pump that can fail (leak/tear), but that is rare.

After checking everything I think I know what is causing the whistling noise. There has been no loss in power or performance, the truck is running like a raped ape. After driving it a while and watching the boost I may have been wrong about building boost slowly I can build it very quickly. Nothing indicates a boost leak and since the noise started after I installed a Raptor pump I believe thats what is causing it. After a couple of trips down the road with my door open just a little and my foot pushing the go pedal to the floor the noise is not coming from under the hood.

I may be wrong but it seems this pump is like a variable speed drill. Squeeze the trigger just a little the drill spins slowly and makes very little noise. Squeeze the trigger all the way and the drill spins fast and makes alot more noise. Other words at low speeds the pump is spinning slow or slower due to the fuel pressure being greater. Step on the pedal and the pump spins faster due to the pressure being lower thus making more noise. I could be wrong or off my rocker, has anyone with a Raptor experienced any noise from the pump? This thing is louder than my turbo and if I had a boost leak this loud I would think the truck would be running like a pig and not able to get out of its own way.

Checked the boost guage connection, infact I took it apart and put it back in to be sure. Checked the boots, no cracks and all are tight and seated properly. My next step is to put pressure into the system and see if I can hear anything. Only one other thing I can think of causing it and that would be the intake gasket or the pump.
