Here's my situation. Driving my truck I can not make more than about 17lbs of boost. Is this normal? Secondly, I can not get to 17lbs unless I'm at WOT (somewhere around the 3k mark) and then it only touches it for a second. What is the stock wastegate set at? Can it be adjusted to allow for more boost? If so, then should it be adjusted? My truck is stock but I"m anticipating injectors coming in the not so distant future.

Boost seems to be about right. Should be about 18-20 lbs for a stock engine like yours. If you pull heavy boost will be a little higher compared to running empty. Running over 20 lbs of boost will set a check engine code. Remember your gauge cuold be off 1-2 lbs as well. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I think the HX35's are wastegated at 19 PSI. But don't hold me to that and I think if you pull any more than that you'll throw the overboost code. The max boost that a HX35 can pull is around 35 PSI I think, heavily modified of course.

As far as your 17 goes, your gauge could be off that much. Either way, it's really close, and it's way more than a Powerjoke or Duraslacks would ever think of pulling.
