I did a pressure test on my wastegate to see if it was working and found that it was blowing air out of the rod opening. I do not have gauges yet, so I do not know how long this has been this way. What would be the best options for an upgraded wastegate?

Thanks for the help guys, I hooked up a temporary boost gauge to the intake and found that I had about 25 psi of boost. I disconnected the wastegate and plugged the turbo outlet to the wastegate with a 1/8" NPT fitting and got around 30 psi. I was loosing 5 psi through the wastegate diaphram leak.

with mine it was leaking out so bad it wouldnt activate the afc so i wouldnt get any fuel. it took a long time so i never noticed it only that my truck didnt seem to have the same omph any more boy you shoulda seen the smile on my face the day i fixed it was like i was pickin the truck up from the dealer all over

I got lucky and found my leak before it got so bad that my truck wouldn't run like it should. I like the additional boost, Now I may be ready for a GSK, a plate and some starwheel treatment.

yeah my other good smile was when i put my ten plate in and nailed it for the first time... ... wooooo hoooooo. watch the boost and egt.
