I have read so many messages about disabling the wastegate with a turnbuckle. Lots of good stuff. I have one question that seems has been answered differently at times. If you have a stock engine and do nothing else but disable the wastegate, will you see more boost, less boost, or no change at all. The only things that I have done to my truck is to put on a BHAF, put on a 5 inch exhaust and 19. 5 wheels. Can someone give me an accurate answer. I do tow a travel trailer and am looking forward to less EGTs, so that in itself is a motivator to put on a turnbuckle.

Thanks in advance for sharing you knowledge and experiences.

12V or 24V?

A 24V will set an overboost code, the 12V wont care. Dont think increasing boost PSI will do much without additional fuel. My 12V has a tweaked AFC housing and some fine adjusting ( ;) ) of the star wheel and it still is stock boost level with no EGT probs. The torque plate and governor springs are about due for 'routine' replacement though, then more boost will be needed.
