Competition Yee-ha!! 299hp uncorrected!

Competition 602.7 Hp

I am using a usb1 for a top charger and was planning to use its wastegate temporarily until I can get a new non-wastegated housing from Pius(who is in the process of moving, so everything is boxed up) and go with an external set up.

here is my problem:

The bracket and the actuating rod are in the way and can not be rotated in any manner to be out of the way of the cold side piping. I unbolted the whole assembly and now have to decide weather or not to have it freely open or wire it shut? Or could a guy hokie it up to a spring on a known tension ie. 15 pounds and do it like that to get by? I am running it with a BHT3B with a 26 housing. I need to know what would be the best route to take on this. Another thought is that it can all be held in check with the amount of fuel its given cant it?

I only need to be able to have the truck driveable so I can have it shipped back to the states. So it wont be left in this condition for long. By the time it arrives in the states I will have to non-wg'd housing and external gate. worste case scenario I will have to dive it home with it like this. It would be a 5hr trip.

I cant get the parts in time and shipping everything home would cost 100's of dollars that I have already payed to get it over here.

Thanks

given the choice between wiring it shut and leaving it open, I would wire it shut. That being said, if you can hook a spring up to it say ~20-25 lbs of tension that would probably be best. You should be able to control everything with your right foot though.

Shut it will be. I dont have enought time to ship anything over here is the big problem, so I am stuck with what I have. I will go and look for a spring.

Thanks
