For the past few days, the Continuity light was intermittently glowing dimly on my Jordan Ultima 2020 brake controller without having the 5ver attached. Shouldn't happen!!
The problem turned out to be that the factory 7-pin connector mounted on the receiver was full of water in the area between the harness plug and the back of the connector. I dried the plug out and sealed the periphery of the plug with dielectric grease. This has (for now) eliminated the problem.
Since there's a constant +12VDC feed from the battery and a ground in the 7-pin connector, the possibility exists for discharge of the battery over the long term if this situation exists. I just wanted to share this tip in case any of you who don't tow have the trailer towing package installed and can't figure out why the batteries are running down when the truck sits for any length of time.
