Funny story, I rotated my tires today since the ones on the front were looking a little cupped. After I got done I figured a nice Smokey burnout was in order. Found a nice back road and let her rip, only problem was the peddle got stuck under the floor mat, needless to say the small burnout turned into one hell of a burnout. Those brakes don’t work to good with all that torque pushin the wheels. At any rate I just thought I would share that one…Have a good weekend everyone. . ROB

Hell yes, thats the first time I ever took my eyes off the road while doing a burnout. Had to look down and figure out how the peddle was stuck, at least it was a back country road. Think tomorrow I'll cut a space out for the go peddle so I don't have to worry about that ever again.

I had the same issue with my 3500, and aftermarket floor matts. the peddle got caught, luckily I was able to hit the break, get it out of gear and fix the matt issue by getting rid of them.

These are the thick, vinal aftermarket matts with a open spot to the top right where the fuel pedal is.

I will be adding a picture of what i had, so that you can check your matts and be aware of the issue. Hopefully this issue will not cause anyone else off guard and cause an accident...

UPDATED 12-31-2006!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turns out the matts that came in my truck were NOT the correct matts, the factory OEM mats were much shorted and fit & look much better. The parts guys can not even find a Dodge part number on them, even though they have the Ram, so they may be aftermarket crap...
