This past Monday I had a water in fuel lite turn on and after a quick drain I have not had it come back on i did not drain into a bottle to see if i got any water out , did not look like any mixed with fuel on asphalt when i drained it , well I filled up today and as I was putting the fuel cap back on it fell back against the truck and a small amount of water came out of the bottom of the cap , so I started banging it in my hand to see what else I could get out of it , I got less than a quarter to a half teaspoon out of it in a paper towel , I assume that it is rain water since we have had allot lately and that it is getting into the cap through the place where the strap goes in , the strap is still there so not much room for water to get in but its there anyway , has any body else run into this before , I'm not sure if its getting into the tank or if its just under cap top but I'm going to replace it any way with a new one any body know of a source for a good locking cap for a 2000 , I saw a green one listed somewhere but it only fit up to a 99 with the thread on style cap , might as well use a locking style since I'm replacing it anyway ,
