There's an interesting thread on the 6. 7 page about how water in the fuel system can/will destroy the entire 6. 7 fuel system. The cost of replacement is extremely expensive ($17,000) as the entire system must be replaced.

Do we (2nd Gen 24Valvers) have a similar issue? I've never had my WIF light come on nor have I ever drained the fuel filter canister (except at filter changes).

Any thoughts? Should I be draining my fuel filter housing more often?

Thanks

Ron

The older trucks are not as fragile when it comes to the fuel system due to the lower injection pressures; however, a good quality filter is still very important. Use OEM, Baldwin, or Donaldson for the best results.
