I'm looking at controlling peak towing EGTs on uphill pulls with water injection. Anyone used a system in this way? Was it reliable and how much did it reduce EGTs? How large a tank did you use, and where did you locate it? Thanks!

I don't understand. What does the proper amount of water injection at high EGTs have to do with changing oil, or the necessity of it?

I use water for EGT controll it works really well for me,You can vary the pressure out of the water injection pump, the more the pressure the cooler it runs. In the summer I use the washer bottle to supply the water injection system. In the winter I disconnect the injection hose from the washer bottle and use it for the washer system. It holds about 1. 5 gallons.

Absolutely nothing, IMO... when used properly! I have done oil analysis on every change and seen no negatives related to my use of Snows H20/Meth Injection System. I always shut system off 5 min before shutting down... to clear cylinders.

I think it's a great way to control EGT's... . better for towing than for racing, actually. The 2 stage system, with one nozzle (#625) will lower EGT 200-300*.

I use 2 nozzles for drag racing... just uses more fluid. You will need bigger tank for serious long haul towing. Washer bottle just barely gets me over continental divide from Denver.

I would recommend using winterized washer fluid... 20% Meth. Does no harm and allows you to start injection process at a lower boost setting without quenching combustion... . but straight DISTILLED H2O will work for you also.

Thanks for posting your experience using water injection. When towing, where do you start the water injection(EGT,boost)? Is the Snow system switched by a boost setting, or an EGT setting, or just manually? Have you seen any mileage differences using the injection? Have you ever used propane injection as well, or have any direct knowledge of how well they work - power, efficiency,EGTs,etc. ? Thanks!

Wouldn't there be a concern about water + sulfer + combustion = sulfuric acid? It seems to me that continuous use of this stuff couldn't be a good thing long-term (I think that's where TJ's coming from).
