My uncle is losing several gallons of water a day from the radiator into the overflow. Seems like a simple problem to fix if we could figure out where the problem is. We cant find any leak ,just keeps filling the overflow after it has been drained. Would love to hear if anybody has had this issue and what they did to fix it.

Check to see if the cap is sealing to the radiator. Could be a bad seal on the cap or the radator is damaged where the cap fits. There shouldn't be any other reason for the coolant to get past the cap to the overflow bottle.

Head gasket may be leaking compression into the coolant. (or cracked head, cylinder wall, etc)

With cold engine, open radiator cap and watch if bubbles rise when you start it. A pressure gage on the rad. cap will show compression leaks.

He took into A&M ..... changed the fan clutch and he says it is running cooler than it has any time since he has owned it. Hard to imagine it would make that much difference this time of yr... but seems to be working good.
