Has anyone experienced a water leak around the door handle on the drivers side? I've noticed when it rains or when I wash my truck, I get a drip of water around the upper screw on the handle located on the drivers side a-pillar. I have an 04. 5 4-door cab. It does not have roof mounted marker lights. Could this be from a drain that is clogged or coming in through the door seal. I thought I'd try my friends at TDR before taking it to the dealer.

Leak

On my 2002 quad cab, one time and that is all this has happened, but it was a heavy downpour and water started leaking in through the cluster which is on the ceiling at the windshield. It came leaking out of the light covers on the cluster. My only guess is that it was coming from the clearance lights.

Since you don't have clearance lights then the water is probably coming in through the windshield seal.

My wifes Grand Cherokee was leaking on the passenger side. I was able to track it up the a-pillar cover. It was the windshield. Jeep replaced the entire windshield rather than attempting to seal the original.

I have an 06 Mega with a sunroof and I have the exact same thing. Does anyone know if there is a TSB on the 06 as well? Sounds like the same problem.

OK, I know the sunroof on my truck leaks (has since day one). I took it in to the dealer a few weeks back for this issue again since it started to rain here. The dealer said that the sunroof if full of mud and drain tubes are clogged. Truck has never seen the mud, just some dirt fields here and there. The dealer wanted 300. 00 to clean tracks and check drain tubes. I pick up the truck and took it home, opened up the sun roof and took a bottle of water and pored it in the tracks. There's a drain tube on both front sides of sunroof. They are free flowing and work the way they should. No mud up in sun roof that I could see. Still leaks only if I don't back into my driveway for the night. Seems on the Mega Cab there are no drain tubes in the rear of the sunroof. Water puddles up and when I back out in the morning the water rushes forward and into the factory DVD. Dealer will not fix.

Now with that said, I started backing in my driveway to prevent the sunroof leak. Now I have a leak in the front upper corner around the grab handle on the passenger side. No cab lights on this truck. Will these leaks ever stop and when will the dealer stop making excuses and start fixing the problem. I'm afraid to look in the back seat of the truck since I started backing in my driveway.

Truck only has 12000 miles. Dealer told me that it has been used and abused off road and that someone did a good job cleaning it, but they still found mud under the truck and in the tracks of the sunroof. That's why they say it leaks, and that's why they want 300. 00 to clean the tracks. All I asked was "its 4 wheel drive right". I just got done towing a forklift and dropping it off in a field that was muddy. I thought that is why I bought a 4x4 Dodge so I could use it in this matter. . I'm still scratching my head over this..... ???
