2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission water leak in cab

I get water on passenger side floor after it rains . Anybody have the same problem or suggestion. 96 ec 4x4

The most likely cause is the third brake light above the rear window. The gasket leaks. Water drains toward the side the truck is leaning when it is parked. Then if flows to the front without getting the rear wet because of the way the rear floor is made. There are other possible causes, but check that one first.

I've seen the cowl area plugged up with leaves/pine needles cause a similar problem on other vehicles. There probably is a drain under the truck somewhere from that area.

my cab brake light was for sure leaking. I was sleeping in my bed in the back one night and woke up to a heading thunder storm with heavy rain. Soon it began to drip on me so I had to stuff a sheet up in the head liner to sop it up. I removed the light and the gasket was all shrunk up so I just siliconed it back on there and as far as I can tell I have no more leak.

I also had the same leak at the 3rd brake light. I took off the light and replaced the gasket with some thick self-adhesive gasket material that you can buy in spools from any auto parts store. I think it was 3/8" thick or maybe 1/2". No leaks since replacing it.

Open the hood and clean the leaves and trash out of the area on the aft portion of the right front quarter panel. There is a foam block in there and it actually holds leaves, pine straw, etc. . in place. After you get enough of a collection in there, water can no longer drain through and finds its way into the cab. I had the exact same problem, so I pulled out the foam pads, cleaned out all of the debris and the no more leaks. Good luck.
