Is there any one that has had the problem of water on the drivers side floor ??

I have pulled the vent panel, carpet and padding. The leak seems to be a tiny trickle from a seam in the body panels at the top of the dash, where the firewall meats the dash. Seems to be directly the wiper drive arm tunel. has any one expieranced this ??

If so... ... . Any ideas on how to stop the waterworks. !! Truck is fine and I want to keep it that way !

Markha1,

I think just about everyone has had trouble with leaks on the drivers side. I ended up taking the vent door assembly off, making a blanking panel and sealing the vent off. That was one place the water was coming in. when doing this, make sure the drain inside the fender is clear so water won't build up in there.

The next leak was a bitc* to find. Turned out to be the rear cargo light. The angle I parked the truck on was just right for water to go to the driver side of the rear window, down the back wall under the carpet cover to the floor and from there to the front floorboard area. Took the light off and could see the streaks where the water entered around the light gasket.

Some guys have also had leaks where you are talking about but I have been ok there. Also have trouble with leaks around the drivers side door seal(both sides actually)

On the passenger side, pull off the kick panel and you will see a soft rubber plug about 3" up from the floor. this also was a leak for me, took it out, cleaned the area and then sealed it with butal rubber sealant.

Maybe someone else will comment if I missed any locations.

Markha1,

I second Stan's suggestions. I also ended up sealing up the vent on the drivers side. The foam seal dries out causing the leak at that location.

Another place to look is the top outboard corners of the windshield. Mine leaks from both. Confirmed it by pulling all interior trim and observing under 100% humidity.
