Water Meth injection GP

I just got my 370s in the mail yesterday. Between the injectors the h20/meth injection and the advanced timing. I think there should be a little kick in the pants feel from the truck now.

Matt called me today and told me that he was headed out of town today but if you guys would leave a message he would call you all back. He also said that he would leave the buy open until Monday the 21st since they are closed this weekend and since he is headed out early today.

Sorry for being such a newbie but can someone explain this whole water/meth thing in a bit of detail?



*what is it for exactly?

*what kind of egt drops should you expect?

*where do you get methanol?

*what kind of quantity do you have to carry on board the truck?

*where do you mount a tank?

*where do you tap into the truck to deliver the w/m?

*you can run just water and get lower egts?

*the meth adds power?

*how difficult is install?

*why is it hard at all on the engine?





Like I said, sorry for the questions, I just want to understand so I can figure out if this is something I should buy while I can get it for this price or if it's not for me.

Were was the rust? if he says it's inside the cylinders with the head off then it's an issue, if it's in the head on the intake side then it's an issue, other than that Run it. I've had my head off (old head) after I ran it for a while and never saw any rust..... dry it out after you run it, don't run it then shut the motor off.



I have my intake stuff off right now getting it powder coated and I still have zero rust showing but I do have some soot from sucking exhaust into the filter during smoke out dyno runs

If I'm towing I just run straight water, I don't need any more power for towing so with the water I can burn a little extra fuel climbing hills and still keep the EGT in check.



When I'm not towing I run the -40 wiper fluid which I here is not as effective as a true 50/50 mix of water meth but I find it still gets the job done .

I was told the stage 2 variable controllers were not going to be available until July 7.

Oh well I guess I may have to get the one at the shop and then replace it when Mine comes in. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

July 7th is right. I talked to Matt and he said they changed the outside of the controllers and made them a lot nicer. He is waiting to send those out instead of the older ones. The new ones have the same internal parts but just a nicer package. Also the varriable part is much more easy to adjust from want matt said. Thanks for all the patience.

I can't find the 50/50 mix wiper fluid in So. Cal. , I guess I need to go the a colder climate to find that mixture. Does anyone know of a source local to So. Cal. or mail order for the 50/50 wiper fluid?

That I know of, they do not make a 50/50 mix in windshield wash. I think the closest that you can get is 70/30 (Wat/Meth). HEET (in the yellow bottle) is methanol but pricey. Check your phone book for chemical supply shops in your area, or do a search on the Internet with your city/state and methanol as the key words.

find someone that sell VP race fuel they sell meth for about $130. 00 for a 55gal drum in NJ. has any one used 100% meth yet or a little nitro.

Jim, how does one go about being way overfueled for a Big Brother/PDR40 combo? Yikes! Methinks a shot of liquid thunder will provide the O2 you seek.



When are we just going to say screw it and go to LOX injection ?



I'm furiously working on my LOX injection prototype... . hehe
