I have been thinking about adding water/meth injection to my CTD for quite a while now. I was just wanting to see if anyone has it and how do they like it? What are the Pro's and Con's of water/meth and does it give a noticeable decline in EGT's and also power? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Is it worth it ..... yes, what are he power gains..... it all depends on the application.

EGT drop across the board is about 200 degrees, power gain is anywere from 50-70hp, I typically gain 60 hp with a 50/50 mix but have proven a 124 hp gain on the dyno at an event, you ask how... easy, lots of air..... twins and a little fuel.

I see you have the fuel but you definitely need more air to go with it.

A good friend, and fellow TDR member MEvins has blown 3(I think?) headgaskets with Water/Meth. 1 was the stocker on his '02, the next 1 or 2 were either O-ringed or Fire Ringed.

A blown head gasket to me would mean either too much boost, or too much water/meth, or not a good enough mist from the water/meth injector.

It can't be completely safe, our engines weren't designed to run on water or methanol, but if you break it down, so long as the water and alcohol are mixed evenly and are a very fine mist, by the time it hits the cylinder and its atomized all you're getting is a cold charge of pure oxygen, plus a little hydrogen.

Sounds good to me. I can't wait for my warranty to be up so that I can order mine and put it on.

Lets see, I ran a 50/50 mix at 80psi of boost with a single O-Ring in the head and 12mm studs, 24 degrees timing and had zero problems with it, and yes I still have the old head gasket. On the teardown of that motor there was no damage or issues at all, but I did only run it for 2 years.

Now having said that I did blow the stock setup at 60 psi using a 50/50 mix.
