I'm considering a Snow water/meth stage I system for pulling a 5er. Can anyone tell me how long a gallon of the mixture lasts when used for towing (ie, to keep EGTs down)? Is an 8 gallon reservoir a must? Thanks for any info.
I think Matt said 1 to 2 quarts per minute. Im considering one also but dont have any bed space for the 8 gal tank. I think but Im not sure that abs sewer pipe would be compatable with the meth. If so I was planning to take six inch pipe and make a custom tank to fit under the truck some where to hold 5 to 10 gallons. Bill
I was thinking of the PVC thing also but i think i can get some 4" or 6" pipe on the side of the bed (passenger side) in front of the tire. There's a big space there
1 to 2 quarts of water/meth fluid per minute means only about 32 minutes on an 8 gallon reservoir. Doesn't seem like it would be worth the trouble or expense. Am I missing something?

Im no expert but there are 2 kinds of water meth users. The quarter mile truck owner who wants another 50 or so more hp and get the added benefit of lower egt. And the other truck owner who tows heavy and may be partialy bombed already. This guy wants the lower egts for long grades and may once in a while use the extra 50 hp. To answer your question 30 to 45 minutes of wide open throttle up a 7% grade with 15k in tow on a 110 degree day is a long time.
Again I have not put one on my truck yet, but my idea was to start a long grade without water meth turned on and watch eg and coolant temps. When either of them started to get out of line turn on water meth.
Im sure Matt can give you more info on this subject , Bill
