Can anyone running water/meth injection setup (such as Snow Performance) tell me how far a gallon of the mixture will go? I want to use it to lower EGTs when towing a 12. 5K 5er. Would the 8 gallon reservoir be a must?

I use a 15 gallon tank, and I get about 2 tanks of diesel to a tank of h2o/meth towing my boat through the rockies ( approx 1400 km ). Driving around town and highway I get about 4-5 tanks of diesel to a tank of h2o/meth. I definatly would use any smaller than an eight gallon tank if you wanted to use it for towing.

Boydo,

Thank you for your reply. That's the type of info I was after. I see from your sig that you also use propane. What benefit does it give you over the water/meth? Do you use them together (ie, at the same time)?

Propane is good is used and tuned properly, I use it mostly for mileage gains and it reduces turbo lag. I do use them both at the same time, and in my case it works very well, considering it took a long time to calculate and set the systems up properly. If I was to us just one I would go with h2o/meth as it is great at WOT, where the propane seems to perform best at part throttle. H2o/meth at 30% meth is great for towing, but watch your boost gauge when you use it, depending on your turbo setup you could over boost, I see about a 10 psi gain with h2o/meth. In a nut shell h2o/meth good power increase at higher boost conditions and helps control egt's and safe to use; propane torque increase better mileage only safe if used properly.

Hope this answers your questions, good luck

Depends to a great degree on what setting you have on the variable controller. Initially I set mine to kick on at 15 psi and towing my 8500 lb fiver I would go through my 3 gallon tank in about 60 miles. This would reduce egts from 1200 to 1000 in less than 10 seconds with ordinary windshield washer fluid. I increased the setting to 21 or 22 psi and the same 3 gallon tank would last much longer and the egt reduction was still more than enough. Terrain plays a large part , towing on level ground where boost seldom went above 20 psi obviously uses very little fluid, but once you hit a headwind or the mountains then fluid use goes up dramatically.
