NOS is some pretty cold stuff, that alky/water mix might have to be pretty freeze resistant to not form ice.

I've seen NOS freeze up intake manifolds withOUT using water/alky injection and this was on an ISB.

I saw a red race cummins that used NOS as a cooling agent inbetween stages of turbos, great idea i thought. I think that the water/alky idea would be great by it's self though for everyday pullers (i. e. NOT sled pullers who use H2o/alky by it's self).

The primary reason to use alky/water is to add more combustible fuel and cool EGT's. We've basically proven that we can put shower nozzles on our engines and cool the EGT's with twins... . so we don't really need more fuel, and the EGT's are okay. NOS is nice in that folks with BIG singles, BIG twins, or non-compounded twins can spool 'em up... . and it makes darn near anything burn clean.

The combination of NOS and alky/water is cause for concern..... like ICE!

But Matt, would you not agree that by using NOS to cool the charged air, the end result is a cool, less dense charge of air, in which case it is more usable? By using NOS in place of the intercooler between turbos, it serves the same function.

There was a second shot of NOS added in the intake for the purpose of spooling the turbos on that same truck I might add. :D

I primarily use the NOS for turbo lag off the line and planed on using water/alky for pulling with boost so not to have to back off on the pedal to keep EGT under controll. A little propane with both never hurt either.

I will take the advice given and keep the water/alky separate from the NOS. I do apreaciate the procautionary advise.

Drew: Cool air is more dense and on gassers makes a lot more power... .

With diesels you can have too cool of an intake charge and the perfect flame front we are trying to make happen in the combustion process is negated.

Glad to hear someone relate to my precautionary notice about using water and NOS...

I've seen some pullers without intercoolers... ... ..... which leads me to believe they are either running water/alky or just don't care about EGT's.
