2001 5. 9 diesel-water puddling on passenger side floor board. Any one know what this may be. I understand that it may just be a leak in the AC drain but so far I have not located this drain. Can someone help with a location. I checked the shop manual but cannot find a reference to the drain.

The drain is on the passenger side firewall above the control arms. It's not a leak, it's the drain tube plugged up. I use a plastic cable tie to clean it out.

On my Dad's '97, the drain was not stopped up. However, the sealant where the drain exits the firewall under the dryer just above the frame was dry and cracked. The condensate from the air conditioner was running out of the drain and then back along the bottom of the drain and onto the floorboard. I fixed it with a 8" long piece of clear vinyl tubing slipped snugly over the drain and zip tied to the side of the frame.

Thanks,I found and checked the drain tube yesterday afternoon. It did not seem to be clogged but in driving it is now draining from the tube. When I returned home I checked the inside to see if there was any evidence of water and found a small area of moisture that could have come in through the gasket. I will drive it some more and try the vinyl tube next. Not sure about the third tail light gasket??? Again, thanks for the help... .

I had my a/c evaporator replaced several years ago. Now, everytime we have a hard rain, I get water in my glove box and on my floor mat. I have not been able to find the hole. I know there must be a screw that is missing. But other then that I can't seem to get anywhere. Any ideas?

Curious Dave, on ford van I had the windshield seal was leaking, the water would go down the defrost vents, your's mite going down the back of the dash.

You can use a water hose to confirm windshield seal leak.

I used some caulk around my clearance lights and third brake light. I put the caulk under neath the lights so you wouldn't see it. I had to redo the third brake light because it was still getting wet. But it's been dry ever since.
