Something odd has been going on... whenever i go to look at my truck there is always water dripping on the left side under the front of the truck... I looked at it, tasted it and its nothin just water... This happens when it doesnt even rain, im thinking its maybe the dew from the morning but why is it running the same path everyday. . I dont want this to keep happening because of rust down the line?

Taking my truck for some major offroading the weekend up in northern wisconsin

Well my buddy tim invited me and my truck up to his cabin in northern wisconsin. Not sure what town but its 300 miles away from where i live. Im gonna be taking this thing in some major offroading. Never have taken a diesel offroading. What tips do you all have for me? The one truck ive taken offroading was my old ford which was lifted 12" w/ 42" tsls c-6 trans 351 windsor dana 44 / ford 9" i couldnt get that thing stuck if i tried... Did break the front axle though :) Ill probably bring my camcorder and post it online for all to see... Im not gonna be doing any rockcrawling ill just be doing mud pits :)

Nick, my truck leaks like that to but it's just condensation from the A/C unit. Totally normal.

Hope you have fun it the mud! :) I had a 96 ext cab 4X4 previous to this truck and I took it mudding one weekend. . It was FUN! My truck had around 475hp and it could throw mud like nothing I'd seen before. There were a few times that my speedo showed 100mph and I was sitting still :D

Downside: I washed the mud from underneath my truck but it kept re-appearing for the next 3 months :(

Your dog isnt peeing on the tire is he?? The a/c drips on the right side of my truck as all my other cars :-laf

Even if you don't use the A/C to cool the cab, it stil runs when you'r on defrost.

Yes even when you are using the defroster to heat, the A/C pump is still kicking on and off.

The A/C cools the air theoretically by removing moisture. Now,when your'e using the defroster you are trying to remove moisture off the windshield. Heat works best to remove moisture right? But dry hot air is even better right? Tis could be d culprit.

Also the cowel drains behind the fenders on each side,so if you ae parked on a grade any moisture could be draining off to one side?

Man You All Must Think Im A Dumbass... . i Dont Ever Use The A/c So Why Would It Be The Ac Condesor?

If it isnt a/c then it must be pi$$. . How did it taste? :-laf

Leak

Check your weather stripping on the left side. A number of people have noticed (Me included) that the rubber strip that the door closes on is being torn by the front corner of the door. I think this is mainly 2004 models.

Nick,

Like Supersonic pointed out the AC compressor runs even when you're not using the air conditioning. I suspect this is where your water is coming from.

So then I guess you're admitting to it! :-laf And by it I mean the first part! :D

its the condenser

I asked about that same drip. If its humid out at all the condenser will still drip even if you are not using the a/c.
