My water pump died right in front of my eyes yesterday while in someone's driveway (DryBones of NW Bombers). It decided mile number 366,159 was its last. Luckily NAPA had one in stock for $59 and it took only a half hour to swap it out. The hardest part was getting the darned petcock open to drain the radiator.

For some reason I was thinking the water pumps were more expensive than that. The NAPA part was new, no core charge.

replaced mine in a parking lot... no petcock needed... just unbolt the water pump and tap it w/ a hammer ;)

I was pleasantly surprised at how simple a job it was!

Mine died last summer while we were in Nebraska. Tried the local Dodge dealer who had to call around to find one. They wanted about $150 plus core charge. Went to Car Quest and picked up one for about $60 and no core charge. He mentioned he had just got a call from the Dodge dealer.
