water pump puked, how hard to replace?

I guesse the title of the thread says it all. Is this a quick and easy job or should I just have a pro do it?

Just get the belt off then unbolt the 2 10mm bolts (they torque @ 18ft lbs) then pull water pump out.

Install, just place new pump in and bolt up. Make sure that you have it right side up (make note of how the old one is mounted).



You might want to drain coolant from the radiator petcock so you dont gush when you pull the pump out.

If you havn't done it yet, don't sweat it , it is one of the easiest things you can do on these trucks.

getting and putting away the tools..... no more than 10 min... ... 5 if very fast... . not including the coolant... ...

around here the hardest part is finding a clean drain pale for the coolant.
