Just got my letter now I sit an hope that the Good Parts come in before my old one fails. If this works out I'll get a coolant flush an a new water pump on their dime. I just had that plastic Y pipe fail. 82 250 miles Now I know to have a spare Y pipe in the truck ready to install when I get close to around 75k miles.

Coolant flush? I hope. But doubt it.

Don't forget there is a plastic Y in the bottom hose too...........

Are you referring to the upper radiator hose that has that phenolic resin (I think)? If I have been informed correctly, they develop a hairline fracture on the under-side, well, at least mine did. ~$85.00 for that part.

The top one is the one that breaks. The bottom "Y" is pretty solid.

The bottom Y is identical to the top one. The reason the top one fails first is because it sees more heat being in the inlet of the radiators. Eventually the bottom one will fail.

I chose to replace both of mine with the aluminum Y made by Black Market out of Utah. Peace of mind........
