2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission water seperator

when should you replace this? i bought the truck with 64k on her and now has 76k not sure if it's ever been done.

I think you are talking about the fuel filter/water separator. I replaced mine last night. Can't remember the interval but if you don't know when it was done I would do it ASAP. I do mine about twice a year for peace of mind. Don't go to the dealer for the filter because it will be $$$$ GO to the nearest Cummins place and it will be $

alos how hard are these to change? whats involoved?

Go to the Cummins website (cummins.com) and search there. I found a bunch of dealers around Manchester,CT

Geno's Garage (go to links on this site) also sells individual filters or a package that is very reasonable in price.
