Water spots on windows

Anyone know how to get the water spots off of the truck windows. The rear slider tinted looks like hell when the sun shines just right and the window reflects the water spots. Tried all kind of cleaners, nothing helps.

We use a tan rubbing compund here for all the trailers we sell. Works great but takes some elbow grease :-laf

There is a product called " Nothings Better". I swear this in not a joke. It comes in a little white jar with blue lettering. It's some kind of white powder that you rub on with a damp cloth. Works great on shower doors and porcelain tile too. Your wife will thank you too..... Jim

If the build up is moderate, I'd try some CLR or Lime Away , just don't get it on your paint.

25 % Vinegar/75% water or Windex with vinegar (not ammonia) will work great and won't mess up your paint as long as you don't let it stay on there. I use it on my paint too because sprinklers and hard water put water spots all over everything here.

If the water spotting is leaving large deposits , I find a coal chisel and hammer work well :-laf :-laf :-laf , Just a little humor guys Oo. :--)

We had spots on the windshield of our bug. Tried just about everything, even tried to buff them out. Called a friend who installs windshields at a local shop and he said when they are that bad the only way to get them out is to either break the windshield or use a razorblade. I tried the razorblade and it does work, but takes ALOT of elbow grease.

Ducky Waterspot Remover

I used to use it on my JetSkis, as I rarely would wipe it down after leaving the lake.

Three or four squirts and a soft cotton cloth and it looked like it had just came from the paint shop.

50/50 vinagar and water as already recomended. follow up with a non-streaking window cleaner. Polish with newspaper

Vinegar and water won't even touch some of the water deposits here. It takes most of it off, but leaves alot behind. So, I used chrome polish. Sounds funny, but works.

if none of the simple stuff like windex or vinigar work... you can buff out the water spots with toothpast... it makes a bit of a mess and its hard to gett off the window. but it will remove water spots with some hand buffing... or pretty much any type of polish will work.

It use to drive me crazy as well especially with the tinted glass. I put the whole house on an extra capacity twin tank, on demand water softener. I also added an outside faucet just for washing vehicles. I can now let them drip dry in the sun without spotting.

I agree with JJ Jackson bout Nothings Better. . I purchased mine at Napa in Auburn,Ca. . I tried everything even razor blades until I used Nothings Better. . Just mix with a little water on a rag and rub. The spots will disapear.
