2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Water stain between passenger seat and door.

I just noticed a water stain on the carpet between the passenger seat and the door. It is not in front or back of the seat, just on the side. Any ideas where this water is coming from?

The most popular leakers that can cause that symptom are the third brake light over the back window and the AC drain tube. There are others, but those are the first places to check.

The same thing happened to me and numerous other readers,remove the 3rd brake light and seal with a healthy amount of silicone . Worked for me

I had a leak on the drivers side in the same place (in addition to the third brake light others have mentioned and clearance lights) as you are describing. Tightening the quad cab door catch (moving it in slightly) so the door would close a bit tighter fixed the leak and took away some wind noise I never noticed until it was gone.
