Need Help With CR injector Diagnosis

Hey guys and gals
Here's what I'm getting, highway driving outside temp 60 degrees water temp running 210. 220. Normally 180 also getting that "ding" sound comes on no engine light comes on.. then come up to a stop light temp will drop back to normal, start driving again goes back up. No leaks noted, checked for codes. Nothing. Does this sound like a thermostat going out? Water pump? And ideas or had this issue before?
Thanks

Does it feel hot under the hood? Some hoses hotter than others, radiator not so hot? Full of clean coolant? I think the odds are pretty high that the thermostat is sticking, stuck, broken, etc. I'd get a new CUMMINS brand stat in it immediately, if not sooner. Yes, they are different. One other thing, Clyde: Tell us about yo ride! Fill out you signature. LOL

A stuck thermostat wouldnt generally allow an engine to cool just by pulling off the road but it is possible (partially stuck). They are simple enough to check by throwing them in a pot on the stove an bringing them up to temp.
Aside from that, the exterior of your radiator could be partially plugged and not getting enough flow to cool the coolant as it passes through. It is difficult to inspect the front side without actually pulling it.
As for the water pump generally the bearings fail and the pump starts weeping coolant before there are any issues with the impeller. But this could also be confirmed with a visual inspection.
Also make sure your belt isnt slipping.
