Water Valves in the RV

Ordered 6 of these to install. I have been meaning to do this but when the toilet flush valve took a dump (pun intended) and water was running around in the bathroom and down into the basement it became a priority. Having to run outside to turn off the water was just extra time for the sunami to do it's thing. So the toilet gets one, the pressure side of the pump gets one (already have one on the suction side to feed and pump anti freeze thru the system) and 2 sinks will get them. I already have a water heater bypass setup so I can turn that off. The only thing left is the outdoor shower that we never use and there is really no place to put them or the shower. At least it will minimize some things.

On the DRV Mobile Suites, there is a water distribution manifold that has hot and cold cutoff valves for each location receiving water. It's a nice feature. Sounds like you now have pretty much the same thing. Ron

When I redo the repo house I just bought this coming summer I am building a water manifold with shut offs and then pex to the fixtures.

I did mine on our Mobile suites. It's nice to reach behind toilet close the new valve, open toilet flush valve without water running down the bowl to clean or service rubber seal.

1/2" pipe threads, I highly recommend a sealant on the ID end of valve for a water tight seal.

I like this idea. We have experienced a similar incident on one of our older travel trailers. Things can sure get wet fast if you have to get un-naked then run outside to close a valve.
For the illusive ones can you get to the lines and install the valves at a point where they disappear into the walls or floor, or just rely on the inside ones at the pump?

The one's for the outside shower are tapped off the lines to the shower between the outside wall and a wall of the shower so I would have to re-route the hot and cold feeding the shower to an accessible place and there really is not a place I can do that. I have a diaphram problem in the pump and have a new replacement but with the city water connected the water will actually feed some the opposite way and go into the fresh tank causing water to come out the vent on that tank. Right now I have the tank shut off on the suction side but I want one on the pressure side also so I can change the pump with out turning all the water off. That is one of the reasons I want valves on the sinks also. I am definately a valve/convenience person. I did have a 90 feed fitting to the shower mixing valve crack once which required removal of the outside shower to repair but I can honestly not think of where to put auxillary valves that I could get to in a hurry. I will have to think about that one, I really do not think 2 red handles sticking out of the bathroom wall would fit the wife's decor. Maybe hang a towel in front of them
