Hello,

I am looking for some recommendations for a product to bring new life to faded/dull bug shield. Any ideas?

Whats it made of? If it's plexiglass, go to your local motorcycle shop and ask for plexiglass polish.

If it's stainless and badly pitted it might not be worth saving.

Bug shield thoughts

Depending on how bad it is, how deep into the surface of the plexiglass / lexan bug shield, it may be more trouble than it's worth.



I bought a new one for about $ 20 when the labor to "save" the old one probably would have been a whole days worth, plus needing some polishing compounds I didn't have on hand.



That was 5 years ago and it still looks new, because I treat it regularly with a good, gentle protector that preserves the surface well, never letting it get badly damaged in the first place.

Thanks for the reply. I thought there must be a plexyglass cleaner so that is what I will look for.
