Well after the medical nightmare and Lupron shots (Man Killer) my brain told me it is time to wax the Drivers side before the oxidation gets to bad. So it's been about 16 Months since I waxed it. I have been using some very good No Rinse Wash and Wax products to help the longevity of the base LSP but they can only do so much and most spray waxes or waxes added to wash products only good for around 2 weeks. So I do some testing with Collinite 885 (A pure wax) and the 4" applicator. At first it looks pretty good with the applicator gummed up with oxidation. Went out at sunset and noticed in that light I had a smeared mess of wax and oxidation. Next plan brings out the rotary, wool compounding pad and Collinite 870 cleaner wax. Total 5ver fiberglass is 920ish square feet but it seems to get bigger every year. I have been waxing this beast for 17 years now and I am not in my 40's.50's anymore so you get the idea. I am working on the drivers side which is approx. 320 square feet. The 870 and rotary cleaned it up very well and now have a nice shiny surface to apply the 885 which will last at least 1 year where any AIO like the 870 is 3 Months tops. I am down to having the 16' slide to do then the 870 part is done and the DA, wax pad and 885 get applied. Now I use to do this whole thing in 2-3 days tops and work 8-10hr days doing it. This LITTLE 320sq. ft. so far has taken me 8hrs and 2 days and I am not past the 870 part yet. Wish I could find a 55 gallon drum of energy/stamina to tap into. Luckily the 885 part should go very well as I am only applying wax to a clean surface.
