I take it you're a gunsmith. I have had it turn recievers a reddish color. Any way to get rid of that, short of a re-blue? Will it buff out with some kind of polish?
WD-40 = job security... ... I used WD-40 to stop squeaks in file cabinets and desk drawers for a large bank. A year after applying the WD-40, I would need to come back and replace the file or drawer glides. They would be worn out, no lubrication. Kept me busy for years.
I finally figured out what was happening. I do not use WD-40 on anything that requires lubrication. The can does not say it lubricates, just stops squeaks. And it did. All the way to the bank.
