what you really need is a P7100 :-laf

Nah, just you second gen guys that need a crutch :-laf Its great fun to turn those second genners, and overvalvers on their ear when you walk em off the stoplight, in an old first gen work truck :D

With the exception of Forrest, I agree with everybody else, we need some more injector choices for bigger power.

I love the old square bodies... thought about building a drag truck out of one... but it would get a p-pump.

I love the old trucks, but you're rowing uphill w/ that VE! :( don't get me wrong, more power to ya (literally), and yes, you DO need someone to come out w/ some mack daddy injectors for those engines! :)

michael, what kind of stuff are you "testing now"? one power level? two? any idea as to when you'll be coming to market? i can't speak for everybody here, but what i'd like to see (i don't know if it's possible though) would be an injector that was comfortable at, say, 400-450hp, but you could squeak out closer to 550-600hp with the right pump set up. i think there would be a bigger market for that then "all out" sets. us 1st genners are pretty clingy with our $, and something we could grow with would be pretty slick. anyway, would love to hear more about what you're working on. and if you need someone to "test" them for you, i'd be happy to lend a hand. i've got pretty easy access to a dyno.....

Now WHO"S rowing uphill? LOL

I think the guys here are just trying top say to our predecessors that they quit too early on these old beasts. They gave em up for dead when there is literally a huge potential left behind. I think the vendors saw how easy it was to liven up the P pumped engines... so most took the easy road.

Now some of these guys want to start back down that difficult road and make some horsepower happen.

They have and they will make it happen... . don't let your guard down. ;)

We are shooting for about an 80hp injector.

They are EDMed for better smoke control.

Just got my 2nd set so we will see.

They will not be cheap as they are EDMed and not mass produced like the newer stuff (24V, common rail).

If you are interested give me a call.

Piers has dyno-mite diesel 1st gen injectors on his website now. 55 hp and 75 hp injectors. There a little spendy but i've heard good things about there injectors. I'm pretty sure that's where Old Smoky works so i'm sure he's in on the development of those.

When +60hp, 90ftlb Lucas POD injectors are available for ~$350, hard to spend more than double for only 15-20 more hp.

Hey Bil, Nobody said anything about reasonable they just asked for injectors :-laf

I have a set of specs that should yield about 100-120 hp. I need someone who would be interested it trying them. THe truck will have to meet specific criteria in order to produce the desired results.

If you are interested please call me at 317 401 4843, or 1 866 878 9742.

This wll be on a trial basis and if they work as well as expected we will release a couple sets for further testing and dyno trials. I do not have anyone in my local area with a strong 1st gen who is looking for big hp gains.

BILL, where are you at?? I think he is talking to you and doesn't quite know it yet!!! ;) Maybe KTA would be another person that would be interested. I know my trucks won't fall in "specific criteria" anytime soon.
