o :--) m :--) g :--) ! that is all i have to say for now. i will be dynoing SOON!

Ooh ooh ooh! Swank got some! ;) Is it good? Is it fun? Didja like it? Is she FAST? :D :D

well, waiting to hear back from josh about what kind of info he'd like me to disclose right now. i haven't put them in yet. i have an appointment at the dyno on monday. i'm going to try a bunch of different stuff since i will finally have a chance to actually do some tuning. i'd really like to get over 400 before finally slapping the infectors in, and since i only have like 13 to go, i think i can pull it off. one of the things i'm going to try is back to back runs with different pump tops (w/ foot and wo/ foot). want to see if it actually makes a difference.

ps. bill, i swear i can see the needle through the holes!!!!! could just be my imagination though.

"..... ps. bill, i swear i can see the needle through the holes!!!!! could just be my imagination though... ... " :-laf :-laf

I think you got those babies from the Mowen Shower Nozzle company didn't ya... . ;)... . :D

I ran a set of hosers you could see clean thru the holes and all I can say is... OMG... . we had smoke at levels that only a pro puller could dream of... . nasty.....

pb...

was that with the hx50? or was it a 55? ya, i really hope that i don't decimate my clutch AND headgasket at the same time. i would like to get at least two runs on the dyno. we'll see.

R&D. I've been told at a certain point, (hole size) you'll actually lose power. Such as a set of 5x25's don't work too good in a 1st gen:eek::eek:...

I bought some Dyno-mite Diesel injectors stage 4s in June last year and they were rated a 75 hp increase. I have since heard the new stage 4s make 10 - 20 more hp. Does anyone know if this is true?

well, josh doesn't want much on here yet (still have a lot of testing to do), BUT i can't help saying that the truck drives a whole heck of a lot better. virtually NO idle smoke on COLD start (which is worlds better than the POD's), no hot idle smoke, and keep in mind that this is with a . 020" over headgasket as well. much better drivability and a whole lot more fun. before i would max out at about 53 psi on the street. i was able to get about 62 psi (before i backed out of it) on the dyno. on the street, i got real scared becuase i pegged the gauge in 4th. :--) anyway, not going to put #'s up yet, but i will say that i was impressed.

huh, i guess nobody is that interested in having all FOUR back tires breaking loose when their turbo(s) spool up in 4th, going a little bit downhill, eh?

I have had the new DDP Stage 4's in my truck now for about 2 months. I have since knocked a full second off my 1/4 mile best, taken 2nd place at our first event with the NHRDA and used less fuel doing it.

:--) Heads up against a newer Ford.

A 1ST GEN Twin stick with dam near the same dial in time. :-laf

#ad

A 3RD GEN Twin auto I have no idea what happened here but the old boy broke out trying. :D

#ad

The 2ND GEN That finally took me out twin auto. . I was sand baged on this one all he did was get a bumper on me to win.

#ad

And finally my picture with the man that put it all together. Yeah yeah yeah the stickers are there to help pay for my bad habit. :D

#ad

Keep in mind all this was done on B20 compaired to #2 that I ran last year with my POD's.

Soon after I installed my injectors I was turning my fuel screw out and watching the temps on the EGT meter.

My boost and EGT's really took a big change after I added a GOV. Spring. I am finding that I will be adding another stage of either NOS or water/meth very soon to help control the temps.

Next is the dyno. Last year my best with the truck was 205HP at the rear wheel. This year with a few changes I am thinking its going to be a big improvment.

Lance I'd say a bigger turbo or another one too cool things down before the water/meth or nos. That's where you're gonna make the big power.

You couldn't do that with POD's??? :-laf .

Lance, it's great to see your 1st gen. kicking everyone elses butt!

How much of a difference do you think the B20 made?

Power was no differant and right now in Seattle B20 is $2. 65 a gallon and #2 is $2. 89 a gallon.

I run what ever is cheeper.

The best thing about the B20 and higher B100 yes I have run B100 also is that I passed the sniffer test this year and had a smile on my face when doing it this time. Even though it spewed black smoke it still passed and the guy doing the test was in shock it passed... lol

Kicking everyones butt... Well there all my good buddies and I am sure at the next event if I do not knock on wood it will be a differant story. Last year I had allot of troubles unrelated to the trucks performance for some reason this first race day went much better then last years hole season.

YA BABY !!!!!

See what happens when the lowly 1st gen, rotary pump equipped trucks, start to make some noise... . ya GOTTA luv don't ya... :D:D:D

Guys this year will see new and surprising heights achieved by these old trucks... . sweet !!!

pb.....

Any guess at a time that these injectors might be available for the rest of us? 2 months, 6 months, a year or longer? Core exchange? Over $1000?

What are you talking about I just called them up they were running a special on all the DDP injectors at the time.

I had to pay a little extra because they did not accept my old POD's as cores but they can fetch as much as $300. 00 used so it was just as good as a core charge in the end.

I will say this. Having the injectors allone did not make my big power right off the bat. I also installed a GOV spring and thats when the injectors really showed there true colors.

My truck has never run so clean and even though I did not expect better mpg the truck is doing better by atleast 1. 5 miles more per gallon. I just cannot keep my foot out of the go pedal. I have a trip to Canada next month for some more raceing and I should get a good icea were my mpg is on the highway. All my driving now is in city and not the best around 13. 5-14 mpg with allot of playing around.

The best thing is the 0-60 mph times my goodness this truck can pull hard now.

Call www.dynomitediesel.com and ask for Ross he will give you some details over the phone about cost.

Another reason to not buy these DDP's. I gained 10psi of boost, who knows how much more it would be if I ever pull this stock clutch and install the SBC FE I have sitting here. 10psi of boost, injectors only. IN/OUT. No other changes. www.scheiddiesel.com.

I think you took my words out of context but thats ok... If you do the GOV spring the injectors do what they say they will do. .
