We went to the dealership at 10:30 am Saturday. We saw our truck sitting out in the sunshine when we drove up.

Beautiful!!!

The one thing that shocked me at first was that it did not have the outline white letter Michelins (LTX/AS). Rather, it had blackwalls. On the website and in the brochure, I believe, it indicated that the all seasons came in white letter like the on/off road Bridgestones. Anyway, long story short, we're keeping the blackwalls.

On to other things. The "regional rep" wouldn't honor the 0% financing, even though on several occasions, our salesman said it was sold-order-protected along with the rebate. Another long story short, we took the $3500 Dodge rebate, and the $500 FB rebate. So, our final price was $4,800 below invoice---not bad, I should say. I'm going to get 3. 25% at my credit union for the financing, since they bent me over on the 0%.

There is tape instead of body plugs, but my salesman said he'd order them on Monday. I'm also waiting on the factory service manual, which is free as part of the deal. So there is still some unfinished business to take care of.

Salesman said this is the first 600 they have delivered to anyone. They just don't have the allocation, and he said he thought we were lucky to have received the truck as quickly as we did (9 weeks).

The truck is beautiful. All the paint looks great. Fit and finish gets an A+. No vibration or any other weird quirks that we can tell. LOVE the heated seats! We couldn't be happier.

It fits in our garage with the mirrors folded in, but it is VERY tight. I guess I'll just have to be careful.

Anyway, sorry for rambling on. I'm going to post some pictures as soon as I can find an efficient way of sizing them down.

Congrats

Concratulations on getting your truck. They finally loaded mine on a rail car yesterday after 10 painful days of watching it sit at the plant. It is suppose to be here 4/5. Good luck with the new truck.

As I stated in the other place regarding the 0% financing. Try calling DC and complain. They will give it to you. Yo may have to take the 2500 rebate though. There are consumer laws that protect buyers in a situation such as a "sold order".

you guys with your new wheels, do your self a favor, get on your creeper and slid under your truck and and check those fluids in the differentials, transmission, transfer case etc. make the dealership fill those. why should you have to put that expense out of your pocket? be careful also about what they add, cause some guys have been getting the wrong stuff put in. good you checked on the plugs. happy motoring

just my penny's worth.

I agree. Others have pressed their dealers, and called that 800 number, and the dealers have backed down.

If DC honors it for one, they must honor it for all. It just makes my skin crawl in this day and age, with the educated consumer and all, that the dealers do this.

Push it. If they still won't, then file a complaint with DC, and with your states consumer finance or banking office.

I know I've read about it before, but what plugs are you speaking of?

Buzzer, I don't know if you read over in the other place, but I'm going back tonight to re-do the paperwork. The dealership is going to honor the 0% + $2,000. I don't know if they will give me the current rebate of $2,500 or not, but I'm happy with the original deal if not. Thanks for all the help!

OT: Anybody know of some good freeware to resize pictures to whatever pixel dimensions you want? I can do it in the camera, but I'd probably have to downsize to 640x480.

Thanks!

David

DCornelius, just set up your album here under Readers Rigs and upload your pics there. It takes far larger size pics than 640x480 pixels and viewers can select what size pic to view. So it's better to upload larger pics as long as they're not majorly large.

10-4 on Irfanview, Irfanview rocks, and I've found it often does a better job of playing media than Windows, Real or Quicktime media players.

Thanks for the tip on Irfanview.

Got the deal done last night at the dealership. Back to the original deal--0% for 48 months and $2000 cash back!

Whew!

Thanks!
