What do you use to lube the weather striping to prevent it from freezing together and ripping it off when you open the door?

I have never used any thing on my weather striping for the doors and windows for any vehicle that I have owned. What I do is I wipe the weather striping down with a dry towel if the weather striping gets wet regardless of temps. This is kept in my vehicles until the towel needs to be cleaned than another one goes in it's place. I have been doing this since I started driving in the 60's and I have been through every mid-west winter in IL, since the 40's. Never tearing any weather strips that are in place.

Be aware 303 is water based, using on outside trim/tires if it gets wet it will run. Just a fyi. Works great on interiors tho.

Stopped by the parts house for some weather strip NO STICK-EM

I got to do my ranger doors constantly, cause they stick. Sil-Glyde is my choice too.
I tried to find the Sil Glyde but couldn't. Mike is generally pretty good with this sort of thing because of his exposure to a multitude of products. The Blaster worked great, just wondering how long it will last before it needs a re-application

I do mine a couple of times per year with silicone. Never had a problem, and last week, we had a heavy rain, then a overnight temp snap to the teens. Not a problem all around.

Mercedes sites tout a product called Gummi Pflege Stift for lubing up the door seals. I use it a couple times a year to lube the seals on the doors and folding sunroof on the SLK280. I'm sure silicone spray is cheaper and more readily available though.
