I've seen numerous post here, and elsewhere, recommending these. Where can you get them? The only place I have found is direct from Weather Tech. Lots of places carry them for other vehicles but not for 06 Dodge.

Where have some of you gotten yours from?

... ... I prefer the "in-channel" type rather then the 3M tape type, but both work... ;)

I'd prefer the "in-channel" type too but wonder what happens to the window glass, window seals, and whether the vent itself mantains a tight fit in the channel over time. Will they actually keep weather out of the cab with the window cracked open, both parked & on the move?

My Dad bought the "in channel" for his '06 Dodge from their web site and loves them. He also got the molded floor mats and likes them too. I've had the "in channel" Weathertech visors on my '01 Dodge and just turned 110,000 miles, and they are the best add-on I have. A very good friend of mine settled for the less expensive brand, and I didn't have the heart to break his ba**s. He paid $35,000 for the Dodge diesel and wouldn't spend the extra $35 to get the better visors. I expected my retired 69 year old Dad to pull that, not my 34 year old buddy!! :-laf

I had the weathertec on my 03 they are better than ventvisors,But when I bought the 06 mega they did not offer them for the rear doors yet. that was a few months ago so they might have them now.

weather tec in channels are the best. No problems so far and lots of miles towin down the interstate. Do a great job of wind control with the windows down too and cuts the noise.

Put 3M type on my 05 right after I got it and changed to inchannel after about six months and having to reattatch the leading edge of the right one every month or so.

If I remember correctly, I got them from Stylin Concepts.

CDegner,

Put me on the list of those who recommend them. I had a set on my 2001, and now a set on my 2004... great product... custom fit... don't budge at high speed.

Mine are the lightly tinted ones (part #72291), they take on the tint of the window and blend in very well.

I got mine from autopartswarehouse.com for $98. 95 with free shipping. I checked out their prices today and they're now $101. 95 with free shipping over $50. 00 purchase. Too, they meet or beat any price!

Like you mentioned, though, I didn't see a WeatherTech vent visor listed for a 2006, just through 2005. Is there a difference in construction of the doors between 2005 and 2006?

Give them a call... 1-800-859-0923. Hope this helps.

I've had mine in for almost 18 months and haven't noticed any bad effects on the glass or seals (maybe if you had custom tinting it could be a problem). When the window is closed, the glass holds them firmly against the seal. When they are partially open, they still are up above the window opening (in the channel) and rain/water doesn't seem to come in around the channel. I have had problems with the tape on type. They have come loose, especially around the mirror trim, and then water does get inside the ventvisor when it rains. It's not a big problem, but they are definitely not weather tight... ;)

Only way to go. 06 Mega is available. I bought mine at the weathertech website. Perfect fit. Hint: The instructions refer to a web based installation video. I recommend it.
