The delay is interesting to me, Nick. It has been a long, long time since I was a dealer, but if parts were ordered "machine down", Deere took that deadly seriously. They used to have an even higher priority called "Flash", and it would ship from whatever DC had it any where on the globe. I wonder where the screw-up happened?

I was a little ticked for sure. I ordered it Thursday morning before they were even open so they had all day to get it out. The shipping invoice has a big red sticker that says HOT, and UPS Next Day Air, highlighted, yet it shipped Friday, so of course the weekend hit.

People just don't seem to care any more. Here in Alaska, I'd add two more days to your wait time!

Chipper is up and running. I couldn't use the JD Imatch quick hitch, it interfered with the PTO shaft I did set the control about the middle of the stroke, full open seemed to be too much flow. I still need to set the roller control at about 2.5 or it is too fast. Seems like it is going to be a dandy little chipper. We chipped about a 1/2 yard of chips and give out, Lol. That did include trimming the trees and hauling them to the chipper.

A serious chipper I know have had 8000Kw Power, electric, and was in the biggest cellulose plant I Switzerland. I used to deliver stuff there some 20 years ago.
The Watt gauge in the control room showed in Megawatts.
That was IMPRESSIVE.
I googled for nights but never found a video from chipper even close to that size.
The chip wheel was 15 foot in diameter, weighed tons.
Intake, a 45° angled slide took 3' hardwood logs - in diameter of course.
A log this diameter and 9' long was gone within 3 Seconds.
That thing was MASSIVE!, true swiss Engineering and built domestic in the 70th.

Now all is gone, just memory is in my head, de-industrialized.

Yes Tom, 2400 rpm @ 540 pto. I think I will push it up to the max, what ever that is, 2600-2700 I think.The chipper is rated 540/1000, so faster the better with a 540 tractor. It will gobble a pretty gnarly limb, sucks it right in as long as they are green and flexible and not too big.

The BX102R is a serious chipper, chipping some serious wood! That chip trailer is more than cool, German engineering at it's best. My dealer said they have a large presents in Germany, that they build the chipper with German safety requirements.

I asked my dealer if I could still have a new model for the year end discount price of the '19 models, he said yes. So that is my plan, Lol

Even so, anything over 24 inches had to be split. All wood delivered there was in 4ft lengths. They started it in phases and I swear the lights dimmed in whole city when they threw the switch.

Oh yeah, i believe that with the lights, depending on what Voltage the engines were running that pulls down the net.
Close to where we live at home we have the only steel smelter left in Switzerland, if they switch on their electric arc smelter they have prior to inform the network operator to increase the power production at the exact same moment to avoid your scenario.

The Engine compartment on my chipper was around the size of a 20ft Container. It was running on 12000V AC.
The most amazing was that this chipper never sunk his rpms, no matter how big the logs have been, just the MW needle in the control room went a little up and down. It just turned, 24/7 for several weeks, they could even sharpen the blades while running full speed.
To shorten the oversized logs to 9ft they had a big sawing table with 5 huge blades in a row. A conveyor chain pushed the logs through the blades. Another amazing piece of heavy machinerie.

I have some green paint to work on. A little JD855 this time, service front to rear and fix hydraulic leaks, exhaust, tach, light switch, misc. adjustments and repair as needed.

Some green paint arrived via big truck freight. I wanted to change from the JD hook & pin quick attach system to skid steer so I ordered the factory JD adapter. Nice looking well made unit that don't fit

Everything fit the tractor perfect but the unit wont fit my Bobcat bucket, grrrrrr…..I thought skid steer were all standard, that's why every one has the system....

I cut the divider off where the latch pins slide into the bucket openings. My bucket has the double holes for large or small skid steers with a divider between them. It almost fits but still no cigar...

I looked at some of the adapters but was unwilling to have two attaching points for one attachment, plus it added length to the boom. I wanted the adapter to install right on the loader boom like original. I did look at several like this one, $675 v/s JD $690, plus free shipping so that was what I went with. I noticed in the reviews there were complaints of fitment issues with the aftermarket. I did not expect fitment issues with oem. I did look at my new Kubota bucket and it will fit, the bottom latch hole is way longer that my old Bobcat bucket.

Worked on my loader again. Bucket self leveling links and pins were worn out. That really tightened up the flop in the bucket. Not real impressed with this loader, too many joints, 12 pins per side. It also has a coil spring cushion built in to the lift cylinders, I don't like that feature at all. Sammie was helping
