Septmeber 30th All Diesel Sledpull In Idaho!

Famoso Raceway, September 23, 2006

If you’re looking for some excitement at the end of your summer, be sure to attend Edge Products’ annual Weekend on the Edge event in Utah on Sept. 8 and 9. In past years, this event has been a huge success and we plan on having more food, people, and fun this year. The event will follow a similar two-day format as in past years, with racing on Sept. 8 at Rocky Mountain Raceways in West Valley City, Utah, and a Dyno Day at Edge Products’ corporate headquarters in Ogden, Utah. For more information, visit our website at www.edgeproducts.com, or call Edge at 888-360-3343.

Okay, I called the hotel that all of us Coloradoans usually stay at, the Crystal Inn in West Valley City. They have set aside 15 rooms under the "Edge Event" at a group rate of $72/night. For those of you flying into SLC, they do offer a free shuttle to and from the airport.

All you need to do is call this hotel directly at 888-977-9400 and tell them you are booking a room with the Edge Event group. If you run into any problems, please post them here.

The Edge Event weekend is September 8th-9th, with the drag races actually starting on Friday, 9/8 in the afternoon and the dyno event at Edge on Saturday, 9/9. The hotel is nearby the race track and has restaurants within walking distance.

Jeremy and Kurt,

Make your hotel reservations soon. You can always cancel them if something comes up.

I think we are planning on leaving here Thursday after work, a caravan out there would be a great idea!! Hope you guys can join us!

I'm not from Colorado, do you mind if I get in this deal? It looks like a nice place too! :D

Thanks

I'm sorry I just now saw this.

Doesn't matter where you are from, anyone and everyone can use this hotel deal. Just mention the Edge Event when you make your reservations.

Then be sure and come say hey to us during the event!!

Hope to see ya all out at the track tonight, looks like it's going to be great weather and should have some good air.

Tyler

Well Kurt, not only did you make it, you showed them how it's done!

Conrats on taking 1st in the Unlimited class!!!

Lets hear it for Kurt :D :D :D

Sounds like Kurt did awesome as usual, but exactly how awesome did he do??

He can shift that thing like nobodys business. I love watching him race.

We're still bummed we didn't make it, but glad to hear that you all had fun. I told you it would be a blast. My kids just don't seem to do very well here at home all weekend by themselves. Go figure.

Heard Richard had some breakage. Not a good birthday present, but knowing him, he already has it up and running.

Ya'll have a safe trip back home!

Shay

Well Shay you missed out on a really good time. :p The Ford showing was still pretty poor this year.

Congrats to Kurt(glhs) for winning his class and running a very consistent truck. I believe his fastest time of the night was 13. 3's and really impressed everybody.

HeberRam's truck looked awesome and had some really fast times... 12. 8 seconds and put down high 600's on the dyno (I think the final number was 698 uncorrected).

Another impressive truck was a green 12V standard cab Dodge that ran 11. 8's on drugs. Industrial Injection had done a lot of the work and he vowed to be back next year with a truck in the 10's!

There seems to be a mixup (what else is new) about the fastest time. Clint Cannon won the fastest ET at 11. 5 but I heard that Richard(MADDOG) ran quicker even though he broke his input shaft at the 1/8 mile! Anyway, Richard fixed his truck and at yesterday's dyno day ran 948 uncorrected to Clint's 750ish. :D

I arrived at the drags about 1/2 way through the event, but was just amazed at that Duramax (Clint???) and older Ford (Maddog???) barreling down the track. It's one thing seeing them on DVD's, but to see the trucks in person was :--) .

That Duramax looked like it was going to side-swipe the wall while all 4 tires were fighting for traction!

I take it that Kurt was the guy with the red 1st gen that looked like a work beater sleeper truck? That truck still looked like it beat the others despite appearing to blow some shifts!

Did any of the diesel drag guys stick around to drag those Fast and Furious types waiting in the parking lot?

I didn't get to the dyno until 1:00, but didn't feel like waiting around until the late afternoon, early evening to run. RC Willey had some goods waiting for me!
